Quackfest is N.S.W’s largest duck derby, with up to 10,000 ducks battling it out over a 200 meter course to be first across the line to win their owner a fabulous prize. The total prize pool is over $30,000 – a brand new car, gift vouchers, holidays and bank account!
All profits net of cost of hosting the event (e.g. prizes, transaction fees etc.) from Quackfest are used to fund charities associated with education, homelessness and domestic violence. In three years the local community will have raised a massive $100,000 for these causes.
Quackfest 2016 is over and was a great Shoalhaven Family Fun Day Out with great food, market stalls, entertainment and lots, and lots of ducking races. Many local families participated in the ‘Waddle’ – our community walk against homelessness and domestic violence, and then they stayed for the main event ‘Duck Dash’ where one lucky Nowra local won a new Volkswagen Polo.
